Research, development and cooperation

There is extensive research into medical cannabis worldwide, and we actively monitor and contribute to this process. We will present interesting new results, studies, new ideas and discoveries in our newsletter. Subscribe to our newsletter to stay fully up to date.

Our teams of researchers are divided into three main units:

  • The Technical & Environment Team makes our facilities sustainable.
  • The Horticulture & Growing Team develops new strains for our plantations.
  • The Pharma Team formulates, develops and carries out clinical testing on new preparations.

One of our main focus areas is to develop and categorize new and historical strains, based on the pharma industry’s wishes and patients’ need for specially adapted medicines.

»In early 2020 I’ll start looking for the best possible research material and strains, alongside industry colleagues from North America and Denmark. The aim i to find the right strain for the right disease. I personally have Crohn’s disease and have had the opportunity to try different kinds of medical cannabis. I can certainly tell that certain types of strain help more than others.«

– Andreas Mikulic, Cultivation Manager, Aureum Agricol AB

There has been research into the hemp plant marijuana and its cannabinoids for thousands of years, and several new studies begin somewhere in the world every day. In the long run, this research will lead to a greater understanding of the patient’s needs and more effective medicines – and we aim to lead this development.

The future

Within five years we plan to release several new preparations in the therapeutic areas of tremor, multiple sclerosis (MS), cerebral palsy (CP), neuropathic pain, epilepsy, stress disorders and chronic fatigue syndrome (ME).

We’re recruiting
